In total, 288 survey responses were analyzed. SPSS 25.0 and SPSS Process Macro 3.4. were used for the verification of a mediating effect.

Results: As a result, the traumatized self-system showed complete mediation in the relationship between family-of-origin differentiation from the father and parenting behavior in married women, as well as partial mediation in the relationship between family of origin differentiation from the mother and parenting behavior.

Conclusions: This study has significance with regard to having arranged a specific basis of family counseling in order to promote positive parenting behavior among parents who have failed to experience the appropriate differentiation from the family of origin.
